tetsuya ishida
So...awhile back I found these exceedingly interesting surrealistic paintings by Japanese Artist Tetsuya Ishida (1973-2005). A great deal of his paintings depict working class citizens as machines. Perhaps this is to symbolize the great work ethic and constant need to move forward that is represented in Japanese culture? Or possibly to show one's "trapped" environment as a working class citizen.
