boards of canada

Right now I'm on a whirlwind of Twoism
Boards of Canada's album released in '95. The heavily relaxed flow will keep you straight for about 40 minutes. Their music can be sleep-inducing, however, so beware.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Boards of Canada, they are an electronic group consisting of two brothers and formed in 1986. A lot of their music includes samples from old television shows, even science programs. Some of their music has an eerie feel to it. Maybe its the nostalgic ghosts that provide the feeling. At any rate, I recommend their music to anybody who is just starting to get into electronic music. Its a great point for push-off and you will find loads of others who try to sound like them, but you might always be returning back to their music like I have been for years.

cheers!
